Pics and Letters!
Dear Nancy,

Thank you so much for bringing us Jeni!   She is a beautiful, healthy, sweet pup that has fit right into our home.

During my research to find the right dog, you were extremely responsive to my many e-mails and took the time to provide complete and honest information.  When we talked directly on the phone, I knew you were the breeder for us!  Our first visit to your kennel (which is your home) was very informative and again, you took the time to show us both of Jeni's parents, as well as the other dogs.  It was obvious that the dogs are well cared for and very socialized.

Jeni has been to the vet twice and has no parasites, worms or other problems!   She has a wavy coat which is very low shedding and seems to be very hypo-allergenic.  She is very smart - has already learned "sit" and "stay" and has almost learned "down", which is great considering she's only 12 weeks old!  She is almost housebroken - she has an occasional accident only; and sleeps all night long in her crate.

We couldn't be happier with the new member of our family and we are extremely grateful for all your help!

Linda McIntyre

We are doing well - Jeni is happy and healthy!  We had one incident
where she was unattended and she took all the ornaments she could reach
off the tree and made chew toys out of them!
She also opened a present
- luckly it was hers!
Merry Christmas, Linda
Chance is great!  we couldn't have gotten a better dog.  she loves strangers and craves attention.  she absolutely loves pig ears.  with the exception of an occasional lapse, she is pretty much potty trained.  i've even taught her to sit before going outside so i can put the leash on her and once we get back inside so i can take it off.  i'm working on other tricks but it'll take some time.

Hi Nancy,

Wrigley is doing great here in windy Chicago, she
loves the snow!  I'm not sure if you received my last
email, so I've attached a picture taken at 10 weeks
(it's our favorite one of many, many that we have been
taking).  Look at those magnificent big paws!  We
wonder if she'll be a big girl since they are much
larger than the paws of some pure labs?  She is very
smart, fearless and was raised very well before we
adopted her.  We absolutely love her.

Normally, she looks like a wavy, long coated black
lab, but when she is acting goofy and playing around,
she tucks her tail between her legs arches her back
like a bunny, flips her ears back and looks like a
black poodle romping around!  It's the best of both
worlds.

We recently switched to Science Diet food, b/c they
have a special large puppy formula.  Can you believe
she's over 23 pounds now (at 3 months old)?  She is
very well socialized and loves other animals including
cats, puppies and grown dogs.  Of course, she
absolutely loves people, friend or stranger.  Also,
she has made dramatic progress in potty training
lately and "shadows" us around the house.

As you are very busy with the new litters, I'm sure
this is much too much info, but we really wanted to
say thank you again for the wonderful care you gave
her (and for accomodating our schedule so kindly).

Warm regards,
Sasha and Tom Song   1/27/03

I have to tell you that this pup is something special. She's loving, has some spirit, and is smart as a whip. Thank you from both Marcia and me. Molly looks to be a perfect match.

Hi Nancy -

I just wanted to touch base and let you know how John and I and Rowdy are all doing. He's adjusted well to his new home is growing up quickly. He's put on 3 pounds since we've had him and he's a bit taller too. I'm attaching a photo of him sacked out on John's shoe after a romp outside. It is from his first week with us, so you probably won't notice too much of a difference in his appearance

Just wanted to let you know we LOVE our Labradoodle Puppy Kona,
she was SO easyto train.  She came home with us a barking, nipping little pup,
and now at 6months is very sweet, only barks to warn us of strangers,
and never nips.  Shehas learned every trick we have taught her in a day,
has not shed one hair in our house, and can run free in our yard since she obeys so well.
Afterswallowing a few frogs, mice and snakes,
she figured out the dog food is theprefered choice!!

We were pleased with everything.  You and your husband were more than helpful,
you welcomed us when we came to visit the first time, you answered all of my
questions and more.  You showed us around, told us about all of the dogs, and we
felt that they were really cared for.  I felt confident that I was getting the
best dog, and so far she is as healthy as she could be, with a wonderful nature.
Sometimes we miss our old dutiful labrador, since Kona is sometimes too smart
for her own good, but she keeps us laughing!  The other day she found a live
snake, after finding dead ones all winter, and she was shocked.

Hi again Nancy,

Just wanted to say a quick thanks for your (& your husband's)
information, friendliness, & of course the little guy! What an easy
process this has been. I know you guys work very hard.  Benji was shy
at first but then ran after the kids all over the yard and made
himself at home inside. They all wore each other out. He "told" us
when he had to take his first trip outside for "business"--- & no
accidents yet knock on wood. He'll be a smart one I'm sure!  Thanks
again!  Pictures coming soon!  Maura Olsen 3/03
Hi there!  Just wanted to let you know we got home safely yesterday and Dude is napping in between my feet right now.  God, is he a doll!  What a sweetie!  He's so cuddly and fun to play with, and smarter than ever!  He's only had three accidents, knows where the door is already to go out, and knows the "go potty" command!  He hardly chews on anything and is not having any problem with the crate!  What can I say!  Thank you again!  I took some real cute pics and I promise I'll work on downloading my card this week to send you some pics!  Thanks again, Nancy, we're so happy with him!  Kevin was holding him last night and remarked on how he was even cuter than he thought he was going to be!  He fits in nicely with our family and he loves his new big back yard!  He just lays there in the sun and you can tell he's thinking, damn, this is all mine!  Not bad!  Thanks again, and we'll talk to you soon!   Carole  Grant         3/03
Hi Nancy & Steve -

Well, Dude has adjusted well during his first week here.  He is such a doll, so sweet and fun, and smart!   We've only had a few accidents.  He's so smart he's already going to the back door and whine to be let out.  And last night he slept from 10 to 6 am!  My first whole night sleep!  His favorite sleeping spot is in my closet or under my feet when I'm in the office. And he already understands the commands "off", "sit", and sometimes "come"!  When I ask "Are you hungry?" he goes right to his bowl and sits!  I'm reading my digital book, so I'll probably do my pics this week.  I'll let you know how it goes!  We're so happy--and more importantly, Dude is too!  Thanks again for bringing the little cutie into our lives!  Hope you're well and getting some rest!   Carole & Kevin GRANT 3/31/03

Hi Nancy:  3 1/2 month update.  Dude is doing great.  He LOVES being outside.
Here's a picture with his favorite yard toy and one of him trying to get out of
the hole in our gate.  Last month, he could easily fit under it, but this month
at 35 lbs., no way!  He is such a sweetie, we love him to pieces! He's such a
happy pup and is sleeping 6 hours at night-finally!  FYI:  I've emailed at least
6 people with kudos on your doggie business and on how happy we are with Dude.
Took him for his next dose of shots since he starts obedience training in 3
weeks,  Carol Grant 5/03
Rudy is a total delight!  He is so very sweet, SMART, playful and tolerant.
He doesn't jump and rarely barks.  At a very early age, he would sit, down,
and roll over by word or hand commands.  He quickly learned how to walk on
his lead in heal position (though we don't always insist that he walk this
way.)  He even comes when called, especially for Joe.  He is not wild like
so many puppies though he is playful.  He will retrieve and retrieve and
retrieve.  I never notice shedding.  (When I vacuum (only once a week,
before with my lab I vacuumed every day), I will find small dust bunnies
behind the doors.)  He is especially wonderful around children.  He seems to
sense when they are uncertain of him and he will keep his distance and never
jumps on any children.  I just love him!!!!   jessica kelty
Hi Nancy,
It was a pleasure to finally meet you in person. Rufus has been home with us for
nearly 24 hours and he already is running the house. He is adorable and he will
be a part of our family for a long time to come. Thanks again for a job well
done. Regards,

Hi and hope all is well with you and yours in Winchester.  I wanted to send you a couple of pictures of my boy, "Petey".  He is my pride and joy!  We've been in Delaware for about 3 weeks now, and Pete is loving his big backyard and Lab neighbors.  We can't go anywhere that people don't stop and tell me what a beautiful dog he is and ask where I got him and if I could tell them how they could get one for themselves!  Many people ask if he is an Otter Houndha ha ha.  I tell them he is a Labradoodle to which they say, "huh"?

Pete is a handsome pup.  He weighs in at 51 lbs and he doesn't shed AT ALL.  Zero hair in the house, in the tub or on the clothes! He Loves the water and his favorite past time is going to the beach for a good game of fetch. He also loves to ride, and has a real thing for cheese. He is the smartest dog I have EVER seen. He was fully house trained by 10 weeks.  After 4 weeks of obedience training, (now almost 5 months old) he knows his Sit, Stay, Down, Up, Go to your Kennel, Drop it, an Over. He Shakes paws, rolls over and I am confident he understands the English language!   When I was home over Spring Break my Mom and Dad wanted to take him away from me!  They LOST BIG TIME, of course. Pete LOVES my girls and my girls LOVE Pete.

Anyway, just wanted to toot my horn on Petey-boy. He is my pride and joy (can you tell?).  I don't know what my life was like before him and I thank you so very much for breeding such a wonderful pup!  I am enclosing some pics.  Feel free to use them on your website and feel free to use me as a reference!  A year of so from now, I may be looking for a companion for my Pete!

Thanks again and best to you and yours.  Keep in touch!

Hi Nancy - Just writing to give you an update on Rowdy. He's 5 months old now and growing fast. He is such a wonderful little guy and he brings immeasurable joy to our family. He is affectionate, smart and well, rowdy! He just finished his obedience class with flying colors. Even in the beginning he was head and shoulders above the rest of the class (and the teacher's pet!). Aside from eating, his favorite pasttime lately is being chased around the yard. He also loves going to the dog park. He does shed quite a bit, but I haven't had any allergic reaction and an interesting development is that his adult coat is starting to come in underneath of all that white fluff. It's more golden in color and slightly coarser. I'm attaching two photos. One of Rowdy's first hike/camping trip (he had an absolute BALL) and one of him after bathtime. Hope all is well with you! Hi Nancy,
Mike and I sent you a few pictures and a short note about our doodle Carter. We just wanted to make sure you received them. He is wonderful and at 7 1/2 months he is wonderful. We love him dearly. We get married in a month and he has been a terrific addition to our family. Both sets of our parents love him too. He is funny and has quite a personality. He loves to run and will play fetch for hours. He was easy to train and learned to sit and give BOTH paws by 9 weeks. Stay and down came by 12 weeks. He learned no the first day home. I think he is the smartest dog in the world but Mike says I am partial.

Thanks Again,
Mike Adamek and Lynn Fleury

Hi Nancy,
Just a quick note to let you know that our little
Wrigley is doing great (Oct. 02 Litter Bailey/Tori) We
picked up her up in December.

She was getting a bit shaggy so we got her a "puppy"
cut.  We really love the look and plan on keeping her
that way!  I've attached a picture with her friend.

She gets TONS of exercise by going to "doggie day
care" every day of the week.  Her best friends at
school are a couple of other Labradoodle puppies (3/4
poodle) named Abbey and T-bone.  You should see them
play together!

She is an absolute joy, very sweet with other dogs and
always happy to see people.  The only thing we are
still working on is leash training, she's always
yanking on that leash!

Looks like you've been very busy... I might be in VA
in June, please let us know if it might be okay to for
Wrigley swing by to say "hi" to you and her parents.

Thanks,
Tom

Nancy, what can I say!  He's adorable!  Isn't he gorgeous?  He started puppy
kindergarten last week and no one believed me that he is only 4 months old--he
was the biggest (and smartest) one there!  He already is totally housebroken,
and knows come, sit, off, no bite, drop it, and we're working on stay and no
street.  He is SO smart I can't believe it!  And he's SO good.  He doesn't go
into the garbage, doesn't chew on things that don't belong to him (well, hardly
ever, but we watch him like a hawk and constantly remind him what's his and
what's not!), barks appropriately, and is just generally very well behaved!  We
took him camping twice already and he was the best!  No barking or running out
of our camping area, comes when called, sleeps all night, I can just go on and
on.  And the little sticker bush that his ball rolled into and covered him
brushed right out!   Thank you, thank you, thank you!  Feel free to use his pics
as you wish.  I love to show him off!

Hi..hope you are doing well. Just to keep you up to date. Bocker is doing
fine. He is adjusting very well for such a young pup. He really understands
right from wrong..weather he wants to do it or not is a different story.
He's great about going outside to poop.....
The weather has been damp, rainy and miserable.  Not able to go for really
good walks yet, but he is playing with his toys and knows to go in his
room...though sometimes more reluctantly than others.  My husband is so used
to going to bed late so he takes him out before he goes to bed.  I usually
hear him around 5 a.m. or so and get up to take him out.

Again,,so many thanks to you for a beautiful pup. We love him. Marie S. 8/03

Hi Nancy.  Well, your grandson is 8 1/2 months old now and is 72 pounds of
lovable fluff!  Sorry if I already sent you these pics, but I've been bad and
haven't taken any this month so far!  These were taken in Door County where he
had a ball swimming for 4 solid days!  I had to drag him out of the water!  And
a friend of ours got a new Weimaraner, Bogie, who Dude just loved.  His own
personal toy!  Dude and Erin are true buddies and get along very well.  He's
still an angel and was one of only 2 pups who did a perfect "sit-stay" last week
in "school."  You would have been proud--I was!  I get more comments about how
cute, big, and well behaved he is, and he loves showing off!  I've even been
walking him in the park every morning (without the leash) so he can fetch his
favorite tennis ball and so he can run with his new buddy, Gershwin, an Old
English Sheepdog, who's just his size!  He listens so well and comes every
single time I call!   Well, hope you're well and busy.  I promise I'll send pics
soon.  We have one more camping trip in 2 weeks to a pumpkin patch with friends
who just got a new lab puppy, so that should be lots of fun!  He's a great
camper, no barking or running away or anything!  He's the best!  Well take care,
more later.   Love, Carole

Hi:

How are things down on the farm?

Rusty is doing just fine and is growing like a weed.  She is not housebroken yet but the percentages are getting better.  One problem is, and other than this believe me it is not a problem, she does not ever bark so we have to be very observant to see if she goes to the door.  As soon as she is 5 months old we can train her on the invisible fence and then she will be able to go out of the dog door whenever she pleases.

She  loves to play in the back yard where she has almost an acre to run on.  As a matter of fact if we go out the front door she tears around the house to play in the back.  We cannot believe how fast she is getting and is afraid of nothing.  Her brother is 14 and not into playing all of the time so he growls at her when play time is over.  She then repeatedly runs past his nose as close as she can get and as fast as she can go to just to aggravate him.  This will go on until he decides to hide behind the couch.  The funniest thing is when we let her out of her cage in the morning sometimes she will run into our bedroom and belly flop on him.

We  have attached 3 pictures that were taken today while she was helping put the groceries away.

Hey Nancy,
I have been wanting to email you for a long time --  We love Sesto!  He
just could not be a better dog.  We want to thank you for all the time
you spend with the puppies -- it sure makes a difference.  We understand
Sage (Sesto's sister) is doing great!  I am so pleased the operation
went so well and she is with such a great family.  Our Sage and Sesto
are inseparable -- he is not aloud in her bed so she pulls out a
sleeping bag so she can sleep on the floor with him.  Very Cute!

Thanks again -- Jennifer Parker

Hi Nancy. Our baby,  Jeffie is growing like crazy. She  plays a lot. We love her sooooo much and are so glad to have her in our family. The boys adore her.I'm sending off an autographed picture. Sorry for the delay. It is pretty hectic here. Thank you for breeding such a wonderful dog
Take care.> Ricki Lake ,,July,2004
Hi Nancy  Hope you're loving your new place and your business is thriving.I'm sure you've had more than one hit on your website because of our boy,Dude!  I can't believe he's almost 18 months old.  He is such a love,
Nancy. This is the best dog ever--sweet, happy, fun, well behaved, etc.   We justgot back from the Dells and he was the best camper dog ever.  Never runs away, rarely barks, just sits there watching everyone go by, and of
course, loving the attention when we get asked every few minutes or so, "What
kindof dog is that?"   I could go on and on.  Almost every day he sits on the pool ladder and just waits for me to say, "Dude, want to swim?"  God, he goes nuts!!!!  As always, feel free to use them. Well, have a great summer, and I'll send more pics of my
baby!   Love, Carole  july2004
Hi Nancy - Glad to see you're in "wonderful wild WV" now. I hope the move went smoothly.

Attached, as promised a few more pictures of Dundee. He just turned 7 months and weighed in at 64 pounds last week-end.
Except for the ones with dates the pictures were taken mid June. Not surprisingly, he has three (3) girlfriends! (-;

Enjoy!

Hello NJ,

This is April Dietrich . We adopted Shadow back in March of this year. I just wanted to let you know that he’s doing wonderfully. He’s just a sweetheart. He just completed some obedience training and he is trained on and off leash. He’s very smart; the trainer says he has very high intelligence. As far as his personality, well, he’s so sweet. He’s wonderful with the kids and actually “tells” on them if they’re somewhere where he thinks they shouldn’t be. He was housebroken in just a couple of weeks. Being a puppy, he still likes to chew and is very curious about things, but he’s very obedient even being so young still. We love him very much. Thank you for him. The kids are trying to talk me into a little sister for him, but we’ll see about that. Anyway,

Thanks!

April Dietrich 8/15/04

Hi Nancy and Steve.
It is me, Ricki.  Just an update, Jeffie is 6
months old and she was just spayed
last week.  She is doing great.
We love her soooooooo much.
She is so gentle with my boys, especially my
3 year old.  We couldn't have asked for a better companion.  Thank you. Ricki Lake  9/28/04

DUDE GRANT > Goldendoodle
Hi Nancy & Steve - just wanted to send a few updated photos of our boy, Elmore. As you can tell (and as you would expect) he is so darn adorable we can hardly stand it!! I want to thank you again for breeding such wonderful dogs. Elmore is everything we could have hoped for in a puppy and more - he is lovable, funny, clever, intelligent, obedient and a joy to have around. Everyone he meets is charmed by his personality!

Our vet is terrific and says that Elmore is growing just as he should be - and that he is a great looking dog. We will be going back to the vet at the end of March to have Elmore neutered - I'll send you confirmation when it has been done.

Hope you enjoy the photos - peanut butter is one of Elmore's favorite treats and he was covered in the one picture! The scarf was just for show - we don't torture him by making him go out that way in public (although it has been so darn cold he could probably use it!!). Hugs to you & Steve and all the Doodles.... talk to you again soon. XOXO,
Jennifer, Ian & Elmore McIntyre  1/04
Hi Nancy - just wanted to send a few new photos of
Elmore. He is just so cute!!! We took him to the
groomer's for the first time yesterday and now he
looks all sleek and stylish - those pics are on a new
roll of film so will send some updated ones next week
when I get them developed. The groomer said he was a
doll and has a great personality.... but we knew that,
didn't we??!!

Hope all is well with you guys.... hope the nasty
postings have stopped and aren't getting you down.
Remember, you are doing great things with great dogs!

Talk to you again soon. XOXO,
Jenn, Ian & Elmore McIntyre (5/04)
Dear Grandma Nancy & Grandpa Steve,

Hi there from cold New York state. I just wanted you to know that I am really adjusting well to my new family. My parents keep calling me a puppy genius - maybe it's because I've learned how to go to the bathroom outside so quickly. Or maybe it's because I come when I'm called to eat and I sit patiently for my food. Or maybe it's because I'm so friendly with everyone. Or maybe it's just because I'm so darn cute!! I know that my mom & dad love me very much - I am getting lots of cuddles and attention up here!!

Right now I am really teething and love to bite my parents' ankles. They are trying to break me of the habit and I'm sure I'll eventually figure out that it's a "no-no".
I am going to visit the vet next week where I'm sure he will tell my mom that I am growing like I should be. I stopped by to make the appointment last week and everyone in the office couldn't get enough of me - I was the star of the room!!

Well, I hope you enjoy these pictures of me. One is the first day at your farm and the other was last week - see how I'm getting bigger! I will send more as I continue to grow. Hugs & nose kisses,
Elmore McIntyre
PS - my mom, Jennifer says hi too

Hi Nancy and Family,
We are so happy with Sierra and I think he is happy with us.  Attached are past (when we picked him up) and present (last week) pictures of Sierra and his (our) kids.
He goes to "puppy class" and according to the teacher, Sierra, is the smartest and most well behaved dog in the class.  He is still chewing on things (chairs, shoes, markers) but fortunately he has stopped chewing on the kids.
It is so obvious that Sierra is a great dog and I believe it comes from the way he was breed and raised you and your family.
We hope things are well for and with you.  We look forward to visit again.
Warmest Regards,
Judy DeJarlar, Jeff, Sam and Pietrina Poritzky
Nancy and Steve,
Just a note to let you know how Sophie is progressing.  She has everything figured out except the housebreaking.  We are almost there but still seem to have a few accidents.  Thought for a while that she had a direct pipeline. She would drink and wet all at the same time.  Then she also has a lot of distractions with the other dogs and the cat.  They are her very best friends and she plays so hard and so long with them that she forgets she needs to stop and go outside.
She is soooo full of energy and I love every ounce of her or should I say pound.  She now weighs approximately 32 pounds. As you can tell she is growing well. Sophie is extremely friendly and everyone she meets thinks she is adorable.  She is loved by everyone and I mean everyone. Even my nephew who is not a dog lover would steal her from me in a minute.
I am so fortunate to have found you and your puppies. She is the pride and joy of my life and you gave her a very good beginning. Sophie is fulfilling everything that I was looking for in a dog.
Thank you for giving me the opportunity to purchase her and for introducing me to such a wonderful puppy.
Sophie says hi and to give mommy and daddy a kiss and hug for her.  She misses you all but not enough to give up on me.
She loves me too.
Thank you, Toot Potter and Sophie  (recieved 1/04)
Hi Nancy,                                            Oct//03

I just wanted to send an email to let you know that Shamrock is fantastic.
We all love her so much.  She has been a complete joy to all of us.  She did
get sick on the car ride from your home to the airport, but she handled it well.
She slept the whole way on the plane ride home.  What an angel !!!!!!    Bill
really enjoyed meeting you and your husband yesterday.  He told me how kind
you are and how informative as well.  Thank you so much for allowing us the
opportunity to have such a wonderful and adorable little puppy.  I will send
you a picture as soon as we get them developed.  We certainly have been
taking a lot of pictures of her.  Thanks again for all your hard work in raising
such great puppies.

Ann Hunter
HI Nancy and Steve,
Just wanted you to know what an easy ride home we had!  Skylar slept the whole way!!  Every little while we'd stop and put him in the crate, where he did his thing on the papers and drink a little water. Then he'd settle in at our feet and fall asleep again.  His welcome home was huge as many of my daughter's friends stopped in to greet him.  We got the biggest kick out of watching him try to walk in the grass!  What a good sport.  Needless to say he was exhausted last night!  He woke up a couple of times, we took him outside, and then again, back to sleep.  He is a joy!
It was such fun meeting you both and meeting all your dogs!  I really appreciate all the information you gave to us. Thank you for spending so much time with us and making us feel so comfortable. Our whole experience working with you has been so positive, from online conversations, to telephone conversations, to person to person conversations! Good luck with your new home -- we'll keep in touch!  Susan (may/04)
Hi Nancy..I know how busy you must be now with the litters and getting ready to move. We had a short preview of spring and now winter is back. Thanks so much for adding a link to Bocker's website...don't know how he has time to do computer work in his busy day - playing, tackling his huge rawhide bone, sitting outside watching the birds and the deer, and following me all around. Still he always seems to find time for that very needed puppy nap. He's doing well in obedience class and even though he's a big boy of 60 lbs., he still has that adorable, always ready for the camera face. What a sweetie. We are enjoying hearing from other doodle owners who have signed Bocker's guestbook.  Can't wait until Steve gets home from Florida so we can be a real family again and hopefully have a nice spring/summer.  Will never be able to thank you enough for a wonderful addition to our family and for all the guidance along the way. He is a sweetie (most of the time).
Love and Hugs, Marie and Bocker Shelto
Took this picture yesterday and my daughter played with the background to make him a Yankee Doodle Dandy.
Hi there!  Well, your grandson will be 1 on Sunday, can you believe it?  So we're off to the doggie bakery for a special treat!  Dude is doing great and we love him to pieces!  I swear, he is the smartest, and sweetest doggie I've ever had!  He hardly ever does anything wrong--it seems like he knows what's right and wrong!  He's been so easy to train and work with.  He lives for his walk every morning and he's very verbal--talks constantly, barking and ro-o-o-o-o, and all  kinds of really neat sounds.  I swear he knows what we say to him!  I've been giving Dude, and you, great kudos to all who email me of course.  I love that his pic is still on your website--it is quite a cute picture, if I don't say so myself!  We leave for camping in Florida Monday--thank God to get out this darn cold weather!  Hope the move goes well and I'll send some pics when I get back!   Carole

Hi Nancy -
Just wanted to let you know that Abby made it to Ohio o.k. and sems to be adjusting well.  She did not have any separation anxiety or depression and was good in the hotel and the car ride home.  She went to the vet for a check and is worm free and he confirmed no visible defects - she weighed 6.7lbs..  She and the cat are getting along just fine...she tends to keep her distance from the cat, which is just fine with the cat.  I think all in all, the three of us will be very happy together!
Thanks, Susan
Hello Nancy and Steve,

Jack was an absolute angel for the 4 hour ride home and he has adjusted very
well.  He met the vet today who said "Jack seems like a very happy, healthy,
mellow (we'll see about that!) puppy."  He weighed in at 9.1 pounds so Peri
(our cat) still has the edge on him.  Jack doesn't really seem to be too
interested in the cat and the cat is keeping his distance.

He likes to sleep by our feet..the picture attached was taken after Grace
managed to slip out of her shoes without disturbing the boy.

Thanks again for everything.  We'll send updated pictures as he gets bigger.

Regards,
Coleen and Grace>>2/04

Dear Nancy and Steve,

O.K., who are the best labradoodle breeders in the land??  Hands down, you guys.
There I was in the Atlanta airport, security usually takes 10 minutes, not this
Tuesday...50 minutes.  Was Mary Ann stressed as she finally walked through
security 5 minutes after her flight had taken off for Dulles to come to
Winchester.  There I was, waiting for the next flight 3 hours later, looking at
missing my return flight I had so carefully planned so that I could come to the
farm and FINALLY meet both of you.  You could easily have let me take a later
flight back to Atlanta, but NOOOO, what do you do, drive to Dulles to meet me
and bring Hudson to me!! Steve was so sweet to take his afternoon to deliver
this baby to me.  I almost missed my return flight, they were closing the door
to the ramp as I ran up to the gate.  Fortunately, they let me on.  I was so
relieved not to be sitting in the airport with a poor little guy stuffed in the
pet carrier for three more hours.  I cannot thank you enough for going the extra
mile (80 miles really?)!!

Do you know how you look forward to something, but then the reality is not as
good as you imagined?  Well, Hudson is much better than I ever imagined.  We
love him so much!  He went to the vet on Wednesday and got an A OK, as well as
the vet saying that this puppy has obviously been handled and well socialized.
He is such a love bug (well, as long as you can keep those little knife teeth
off of you for a second...thank goodness for the pig ear...we are on our way to
PetSmart to get a gigantic supply.)

The only bad thing is that my across the street neighbor's husband is not
speaking to me, because his wife met Hudson on Wednesday and has decided that
only a labradoodle will do for her now. Hudson's little personality is so cute
and he is, of course, adorable.  Hudson was a bit tired so he just wanted to be
held and petted when she was here...he was soooo sweet!

I did not realize how difficult it is to get a good picture of a black dog..we
will send some as soon as we figure out how to get the right light on Hudson's
very intelligent eyes.

Thanks again for all you did for Hudson before we got him, and for me so that my
day was not as long as it could have otherwise been.  I am so disappointed,
Nancy, that I did not get to meet you.

Hi Nancy & Steve,

Just wanted to let you know Haley is adjusting very nicely. She was just perfect all the way home, cuddled up all day and evening. She's adjusting to the poodle puppy very nicely. If the poodle isn't there she's barking already, calling to the poodle to come keep her company. It's hysterical!! She's already peeing and pooping outside and when she's inside she uses the puppy pads. She's wonderful.
Will send more pics later.

Hi Nancy and Steve,

Well today your little girl turns one year old!!!!!  She is such a beautiful girl.  The self-taught tricks she has learned are incredible.  She has me very well trained to play her games they way she likes them!   Each morning after she and Trina have been let out, we all go back to bed, me to have coffee in bed while watching the news, Trina and Haley to have their doggy biscuits and a cuddle with Mommy.  After they get tired of cuddling and decide it's time to play, every single morning, Haley turns into a sneaky, conniving thief!  She steals whatever she can find, whether it be underwear, slippers or even a tube of toothpaste! She then jumps on the bed, directly in front of me to make sure I see what she has, then like a bolt of lightening, she's across the other side of the bed, down and under the bed where she waits for me to come fetch what she has.  If I don't bite, she barks until I get on all 4's, saying "Where's Haley?" "Where did Haley go?" Then I have to peek under the dust ruffle and say "There's Haley.......".  Then I retrieve what she stole.  This is every single day, part of her morning routine: peeing, pooping and thieving then Momma plays fetch.

This month we return to obedience training, she has graduated and we're now in Advanced Basic Obedience.  As expected, she graduated at the top of her class, she's soooooo food motivated which makes training very easy.  She has a wonderful disposition and does not know a stranger, whether it be people or other dogs.  She is such an incredible clown, and will do anything to make us laugh.

Haley now weighs 65 pounds, and is 25" tall.  My poodle weights 38 pounds and even though Haley is about 3 inches taller and almost 30 pounds heavier, she is still submissive to Trina. I'm guessing this is because Trina lived here first and is a year older.  They wrestle and play so well together, never once have I had a problem with them.  They sort themselves out without problems.  I'm enclosing a couple of pictures.  I hope you are all well and ready for another productive, happy and healthy New Year.  Enjoy the pictures!

Hugs,

Bettyanne
Hi..hope you are catching a few zzz sometime. I did put a link on my website to the flip album and I'm going to have a Bocker page.  So - since you are so kindly linking to my website, just add Bocker - our labradoodle (after Steve Shelto, web design, etc.).
Everytime I show it to someone, they love it, and I can't believe he was that small such a short time ago.  Steve will see the difference when he comes home next week for a short time. Bocker weighs in at nearly 52 lbs.  He's doing well in obedience class and as soon as we leave, he tests me.  Keeps me hopping which is good otherwise I would dwell on my pain. We rescued a cat - Bocker wants to play - she smacks him across the face and sends him running. (She has no claws).  They exercise each other. It's been real old -7 - Bocker wants to sit out in the sun like it's spring.

Always thinking of you and will never be able to thank you for our wonderful Bocker - yes, during the day I want to kill him, but he is a pup and overall a wonderful member to our family and my good friend.  He's attached to me like glue - even follows me into the bathroom. He's "stays" in class - forget about it at home. He's attached to my hip.

Much love and hugs,
Marie
Hey there Nan-
Chester is doing great.  My gentle giant (yep- 95 lbs) is fine and is so happy to finally get out and
run and play in the spring-time preview we're having.  He's definitely going to miss all the snow we've had. He loves long walks, fetch, and running (but I'm not that great of a jogger anymore) so we do more of a slow trot.  We walk the kids to the bus stop everyday.  Chases squirrels and birds in his free time.  And for laughs, "tortures" the family cat.

He's going to the groomer for the 1st time next week.  I've been doing it myself all this time.  But now I think he's due for a professional trim.  His hair isn't really coarse.  More long and wavy. Very little shedding.  Only when I wear black pants, do I see how much he sheds.  But it's really not a problem.  When he bathes, there's virtually no hair on the drain when we're done.
How do you groom your labradoodles?  Maybe I can pass on tips to the groomer.

Hopefully, we'll get involved in some kind of doodle romp here in New Jersey in the future.  Or a small reunion with his littermates some day-   One year birthday party????

Hope all is well with you and congratulations on your new home!

Chester's well and good  and sends his love.

Hello,

Just wanted to give you an update on Bogey.  He is now  10 weeks old and house broken.  He can sit, stay, lay down, and fetch a ball and bring it back, on command. I can't believe how smart he is.  He still likes to chew but not on anything long enough to do damage.  My youngest son of 6 is doing so well with him.  I can't say that about my daughter 8, she has climbed the furniture the entire way around the house to keep him from nipping at her heels.  This week she finally put her feet on the floor and took her chances with him.  She is doing much better now.  He doesn't hurt her she just can't deal with him chewing.  It's actually very funny.  Regardless she absolutely adores him but she said she'll play with him more when he stops chewing.  I'm still working with him on that.  He understands "no bite" and it tears his nerves up when he can't , he holds back but you can tell he wants to so desperately.  We are so thankful to have him as a part of our family.  He is the best dog we have ever owned.  If I had room I'd get another one.  Thank you again for everything.

P.S.  So far no shed.
Hi Nancy!  Just wanted to let you know how Casey was doing after 2 weeks with us.  He is such a great fit for our family.  He loves my 3 year old daughter, Abbey.  He is so gentle with her.  My husband and I are another story.  He is usually hanging on my pant leg.  If I separate them b/c she is playing with toys that I am afraid he will choke on.  He goes crazy until he can be with her.  He loves all my nieces and nephews too.  He wants to be right in the center of the action.   He seems to love children.  We introduced him to my mom's poodle and they did great together.  As soon as he gets his shots we can let all  3 family dogs run together at my sister's who has a few acres.   He goes to the vet on Saturday for his 9 week shots and check up.   We laugh at hi b/c he is so verbal.  When you talk him he talks back in a growly, grumble.   He understands "go out" and is doing really well except for the occasional piddle.    He sleeps from 10 to 6:30 in the morning and his crate is always dry.   He is used to his crate but would much rather be laying at my feet in the kitchen or next to Abbey on the couch.  We had our first "stranger" come to the house yesterday and Casey barked at him then ran behind me.  So I don't know if watch dog will be his primary purpose (Ha Ha).   We absolutely love him and we know he will be a great family pet.  Thank you for raising such a great pup!  I will send pictures as soon as I can.  Jana & Mike Winters  Doylestown, PA  2/04

Hello Nancy and Steve!  Have you moved yet??  Would love to hear all
aboutyour new place.  When you get a minute will you fill me in?
Bisbee just turned 9 months old last week and he's amazing.  He's
totally taken over our lives.  We've never had a dog like him.  We don't even
watchtelevision anymore.   We just watch Bisbee!!
We go to the dog park about every other day, and he's such a little
celebrity there.   Everyone knows him by name and just love to cuddle him.
He gets as much attention from the other dog owners as he does from the
other dogs.
We're just about getting to the time when we think Bisbee is ready for a
little brother or sister.  How long is your waiting list??  I'd like a
puppy just after Bisbee turns a year old so we'd be looking at November
ofthis year.  What have you got on the horizon??  I'd like another
Goldendoodle and probably a male.  Let me know what you think.
Here's a picture of bisbee taken last month.  It was right after a bath,
and he couldn't do a thing with his hair!!!!

All my best to you and Steve.

Hi Nancy-
I just wanted to let you know what a doll baby Ruby is and how much we all love her.  She's been home with us for almost 2 weeks now, and she is the little angel of the family!  She has had very few accidents in the house, and is just the sweetest little thing we've ever seen.  The girls love her to death, and so does my husband.  She is smart as a whip, and tolerates a lot more cuddling from all of us than I would expect from a puppy!  We want to thank you for doing such a great job raising her - you can tell that she's well adjusted and very friendly to everyone she meets.  If you get any calls for Labradoodles from Fallston, MD, you can bet that those people probably met Ruby and fell in love with her!  Take care and good luck with your other litters.

Hi Nan,
Phoebee  is almost nine months old now (over 50 pounds) and is a wonderful dog. She is very intelligent, completely housetrained, happy healthy and good natured. She can be a bit stubborn at times but we are working on this. I believe it is all a part of growing up (teenage puppy ) She loves to travel --I never had a dog that liked car rides --she is quite comical. Everyone loves Phoebe--she is a faithful loving companion and a welcome addition to the Toolan Family.

God Bless you and your family

Dear Nancy,
We can't possibly tell you how much we love Catcher!  She is such a
lover.  We can't believe that she is already 1 year old.  I've attached
some photos for you.  Remember how you told us that Catcher and her
brothers and sisters kept getting into their water bowl?  Well, she LOVES
the water still!  We can't go swimming without her.  She tries to "save"
our 6 year old son when he jumps in the pool. :)  Her favorite water is
the bay.  She will play fetch with the stick forever.  She even dives
under the water to retrieve shells and rocks!!  We've never seen
anything like it!
Catcher is a great watchdog.  She is very protective of us all, but
especially of my husband!  He calls her his shadow.  He can't go into the
bathroom without her.  She even climbed into the bathtub with him!!
Weekends are her favorite times.  We take her to the beach, and for rides
in the truck.  She just loves to be with us... where ever we are.

Hope you are doing well.  I'll try to send more photos soon.
Fondly,
Cathy, Brian, Thomas & Catcher Dean (8/04)
Dear Nana and Poppy,
It has been a while since I last wrote to you, but I wanted to catch you up on what I have been doing.  Right after Christmas my mom took me to the vet to get neutered.  I really didn't know what was going on, and the vet was so impressed about how I acted.  When the family came to pick me up I was so excited, and I acted just like I did when they dropped me off.  I have grown so much since you last saw me.  I now weight about 80lbs.  My hair was so long that I went to the groomers.  She gave me a puppy cut and my hair has turned so curly since.  This picture was taken 2 weeks after my first hair cut.  The groomer said that I was one of the best behaved dogs she had.  I have not shed any hair.  In a few weeks I will be going to doggie school.  I am looking forward to it.  My family said they think I will be the smartest one there.  Well, I gotta go chew a bone or chase my ball.  Talk to you soon.
Love,
Admiral and the Keith family (Jeanne, Dave, Dustin and Bobbi Jean)

P.S.  this picture was taken when I was 6 1/2 months old. (Ginger and Bailey's litter)
Hi Nancy -- I just wanted to tell you how our little goldendoodle is doing. We named her Zoe because she has such an unusual face. She has quite a personality, with lots of love and pep and desire to please.. She is into everything, and almost house trained. She loves to dig, tear, run, and play. She also loves to be held and be funny. Here is a picture of her playing with us behind a bush -- you  can see her spunk and her green eyes.

Thank you for raising such a good dog for us.

Hi Nancy,

Just wanted to drop you a line and say hello - Murphy is doing great!  WE LOVE HIM AND SO DOES OUR WHOLE FAMILY!  He is growing so fast and learning a ton - but most of all - has a wonderful disposition.

It’s been awhile since we have updated you on hana and lexi.  They are both doing great.  They had their spading in December, but you would have never known it.  Just as playful as ever even after they came home.  They have really been a joy.  Totally two different personalities and looks, which I’m glad they are.  Lexi is definitely the more playful and curious one, while hana is more loving and subdued.  Actually I’ve owned a lot of dogs and never had a dog as loving as hana,But they are a lot of fun. Hope you enjoy.

In  pics hana is on left, and lexi on right
